Who Am I?
Paloma’s Nest creates handcrafted, modern, heirloom-quality pieces and timeless home furnishings: Items and objects intended to be cherished and passed on for generations.
As the creator of the original Ring Bearer Bowl™ in 2007, designer Caroline Colom Vasquez singlehandedly invented the concept of employing a ceramic piece, instead of a ring pillow, in a wedding ceremony. The result was an entirely new take on the wedding tradition, and a new concept that swept the bridal industry, positioning Caroline as a trendsetter and leader in the handcraft movement and the design world. She has been noted as having one of the “Ten Dream Jobs of the Next Decade” by Fast Company Magazine, and featured in a Scholastic Books publication titled “21st Century Careers.”
Today, Paloma’s Nest also offers collectible ornaments, tabletop products, stationery, and other keepsakes, all hand made in Austin, TX by Caroline and her team of artisans. Caroline’s designs have appeared in Martha Stewart Weddings, Vogue Living, Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful, Good Morning America, The New York Times and more.
